The Dogfish Head I.P.A. (I Pedal A-Lot) is a gran fondo style bicycling tour of southern Delaware. Rides will start and finish at the Dogfish Head Milton brewery.
About the Ride:
Our 2019 event date is Saturday, October 19. This scenic ride begins and ends at Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, and travels throughout Sussex County, Delaware. The routes are mostly flat and almost entirely on rural roads. Maps will be published soon. Please be advised that route changes may be made depending on DelDot requirements or local road conditions.
Distances are the: Slightly Mighty Lo-Cal IPA: approximately 50 kilometers 75 Minute IPA: approximately 75 kilometers 120 Minute IPA: approximately 120 kilometers
This year, know that whatever route you ride, you'll be supporting the creation of the Grove Park Canal Access in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Rehoboth Beach and Lewes community leaders have long envisioned canal access points on the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal, from which boat passengers may safely access both communities' downtown areas. The access will also allow paddlesport enthusiasts (kayaks/SUPs) to enjoy the canal. Riders on the 75 Minute route will enjoy a rest stop at the future site of the dock. Thanks for your support!
The Dogfish Head tasting room will be open after the event. No outside alcohol allowed.
What you'll get:Your entry includes a sweet bike route, stocked aid stations, an event long sleeve shirt (as long as you register by 7/15), a stainless steel tall boy beer can (see below), tasty post-ride grub, live music, and two Dogfish Head craft beers (for riders over 21 only - must have ID).
Rider guide as well as final maps & GPS files will be sent to registered riders after pre-registration closes.
