BEWARE! Bikers, walkers, and traffic coming through the bike trail on Sweetbriar Road in Lewes. The blinking lights no longer work. You have to push the button to activate the lights to stop traffic. I have repeatedly called DelDot about this. The lights have been out for almost 4 weeks. I was only told today that DelDot Community Relations decided you need to activate the sensor button. I have seen biker, walkers, and traffic not stop when they approach that intersection at the bike trail. Visibility is limited with the full grown corn growth and the trees in full bloom. Sean said there is nothing more he can do but pass this on to Community Relations. He said I could try calling them myself to do something or put signage up. How is a biker supposed to stop and press the button? I will take further action to prevent injury.
