Sussex Cyclists launches new initiative promoting cycling and cycling safety for the casual riding public

03/17/2025 4:11 PM | Sussex Cyclists (Administrator)

Sussex Cyclists is excited to launch a new initiative promoting cycling and cycling safety for the casual riding public!

Inspired by a suggestion at our annual club meeting, Tom Kinsella, with support from Marilyn Segal, led the creation of the poster below. This poster is designed for display in public spaces such as retail stores, community centers (churches, town halls), bike shops, clubhouses, schools, PTAs, medical offices, and law enforcement centers.

Featuring a QR code, the poster links to our club’s new “Ride Safe, Ride Local” webpage—a valuable resource for casual and visiting cyclists. This webpage provides essential information on cycling safety, recommended riding routes, cycling advocacy, and local resources in Sussex County.

We encourage you to share this with your cycling friends, neighbors, and out-of-town visitors—or keep it handy for your own reference. If you’d like to help distribute posters or need assistance printing from the PDF, please contact Tom Kinsella at Takinsella17@gmail.com.

Due to high demand, we are ordering a second printing of the posters, which will be available soon.

A special thank you to John Eckenrode for coordinating with the ferry to have our posters displayed on the ferries and in the terminal!
