We had a terrific “Bike Check” event in Rehoboth last evening. Rob and Cassie Burns, John Fiori, Chris Braudy and Jim Prettyman manned the table. Although it looks like we just sat around enjoying each other’s company we did provide equipment and information for well over twenty visitors. The weather was perfect also!

Please click the button below to review the details, and let me know if you are interested by July 20th.

Spouses and significant others are welcome since there are plenty of things to do in Williamsburg while we are biking. I will have a meeting later in July with those who are interested with more details.

What a great day. 30 miles on the C&D Canal with 23 riders, beautiful weather and an awesome lunch at Shaffers Canal House. Doesn’t get much better than this.

Heidi Lerch, Allen Segal, Jim Futrell, Ray Grabiak, Jim Prettyman, and DelDot’s John Fiori participated in our first Bike Safety Check of the year. We had lots of activity, helped a number of cyclists, and handed out free safety equipment. It was a superb start to the season!

Sussex Cyclists recently held a tire changing event at Dewey Beer in Harbeson. Brian and Ben from Lewes Cycle provided a hands-on demonstration filled with many useful tips. Attendees were able to practice on their own wheels. Mike from Dewey Beer gave a tour of the brewery and the beer making process. Pizza Machine pizza was made available by the Social Committee. It was a fun and informative night thanks to everyone who participated.
