* This is a DROP ride. If you can't keep up with the group at the target average moving speed, you will be dropped.
We almost always (conditions permitting) ride in a DOUBLE PACELINE when the group is greater than 10 riders.
It is strongly recommended that you have the route (preferably in navigation format on your bike computer, or alternatively, on your cell phone if you have a handle bar mount) in case you are dropped and have to make it back to ride start on your own.
Contact the Ride Leader PRIOR to registering if you are not sure you will be able to keep up with the target speed and/or distance or have any questions about participating in a DROP ride.

Savage Century
Saturday, October 3
W.L. Gore Facility — Newark DE
The White Clay Bicycle Club invites you to come and take the challenge for the 45th edition of the Savage Century, one of the most scenic and challenging rides in our area (especially if you choose one of the longer routes). Select a route—approximately 40, 60, 80 or 100 miles—and enjoy one of the premier rides in the mid-Atlantic region hosted by the WCBC.
The 40-mile (approx 2,300 ft of climb), 60-mile (approx 3,700 ft of climb ) and 80-mile loops (approx 5,300 ft of climb) have shorter climbs, while the major hills are on the 100-mile loop! The 100-mile loop had ~7,700 feet of climb for 2024.
Sea Gull Century
Sea Gull Century, a nationally acclaimed bicycling event, beginning and ending on the campus of Salisbury University, tours the picturesque Eastern Shore of Maryland and offers three routes: the 100 Mile Century, the 63 Mile Metric, and new this year is a 40 Mile Ride for cyclists of all experience levels.
EVENT RIDE SIGN-UPS ON OUR CALENDAR Register on the event’s website here. (registration opens 6/1)
LifeLine 100 Ride
October 4, 2026
Click Here for Info & Event Registration
Registration will cap at 1,000 so register now to assure your spot!
The free Children’s Bike Rodeo for ages 4 – 10 and free Family Fun Safari Ride will take place at Kinder Farm Park on Oct. 4, 2026 from 10AM to 12PM. See the Kids Rodeo page for details on both children’s programs!
Lifeline100 is pleased to be an inclusive event offering scenic 65 and 100 mile county tours with water views and historic sites, 15 and 30 mile flat, paved trail rides; and the free children’s programs! We welcome riders with special needs and bikes of all kinds! We include a Lifeline 100 T Shirt with your registration and note that the sizes run a bit large.
Lifeline 100 is a “rain or shine” event. However, if together with our public safety partners we determine that conditions would be unsafe, the event may be cancelled. In the unlikely event of a cancellation we continue to support our nonprofits. Unfortunately there is no rain date, transfers to another event year, or refund (unless you purchased premium cancellation insurance at Active.com when you registered).
Effective June 1, 2026, we will raise and simplify our Regular and Late Registration fees to offset increased event costs. The fee will be the same for the 15/30 milers and also for the 65/100 milers. We are still offering our old earlybird rates until June 1, 2026
